Occupational Therapy in Noosa: Meet Pierce, Your Local OT

Looking for an Occupational Therapist in Noosa? Meet Pierce, the Forbes Care Occupational Therapist who visits clients across the Noosa region.

Pierce supports adolescents and adults to build the skills, confidence and independence they need to take part in everyday life, whether that's at home, out in the community or doing the things they love.

“I liked the idea of helping people build skills, confidence and independence so they can participate more fully in the things that are meaningful to them.”

Home Visits Across the Noosa Region

Pierce visits clients in Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Tewantin, Sunshine Beach, Peregian Beach, Cooroy, Pomona and nearby areas.

Seeing you at home means Pierce can look at the real situations that matter: getting in and out of the shower, managing steps and outdoor areas, moving safely between rooms and building routines that work in your own environment.

How Pierce Can Help

Pierce has a particular interest in:

  • Neurological rehabilitation, supporting people to rebuild everyday skills and routines
  • Mental health, helping people build confidence and participation in daily life
  • Ongoing therapy, working towards goals over time and breaking them into achievable steps
  • Home modifications, so your home supports your safety and independence

Depending on your goals, therapy might involve developing routines, building confidence with everyday tasks, practising skills in the community, modifying tasks or environments, or exploring assistive technology.

A Practical, Person-Centred Approach

Pierce describes his approach as practical, collaborative and person-centred. Rather than focusing on a diagnosis, he takes the time to get to know you, understand what matters to you and develop strategies that realistically fit into your life.

“For me, rapport starts with being genuine, listening and taking the time to understand the person beyond their diagnosis.”

His practice is strengths-based, and he's continuing to develop his skills in neuro-affirming and trauma-informed approaches. He works with you to set your own goals and find your own solutions, so you stay at the centre of your therapy.
