At Forbes Care, we know that meaningful Occupational Therapy starts with understanding the person behind the referral. Occupational Therapist Renee is passionate about building genuine connections with participants and working alongside them to achieve goals that are important to their everyday lives.
Renee was inspired to become an Occupational Therapist by the opportunity to make small changes that can have a meaningful impact on an individual's life. She enjoys working with participants in their own environments, where therapy can be tailored to real-life situations and everyday routines.
Renee has a particular interest in supporting adults across a range of presentations, including mental health and assistive technology. She also enjoys working with participants accessing supports through the NDIS and Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA), helping people identify practical solutions that support independence and participation in the activities that matter most to them.
Her practice is guided by neuro-affirming, person-centred and strengths-based approaches. Renee believes every participant brings valuable experiences, knowledge and strengths, and she enjoys working collaboratively to develop strategies that reflect each person's unique goals and circumstances.
Building trust is central to Renee's approach. She values taking the time to listen, understand each participant's story and learn from their lived experiences. By establishing strong rapport from the beginning, Renee aims to create a supportive environment where participants feel comfortable, heard and actively involved in their therapy.
Drawn to Forbes Care by its supportive culture, strong values and commitment to clinician development, Renee is excited to continue growing throughout her career while providing holistic, positive support to the people and communities she works with.
We're delighted to welcome Renee to the Forbes Care team and look forward to the positive contribution she'll make to our participants and community.
