Kasey is an Occupational Therapist currently completing her transition into practice after graduating with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Her clinical journey has been shaped by experience across hospital rehabilitation and community mental health, grounding her work in a holistic, client-centred approach.
With a strong passion for supporting people with psychosocial disabilities, Kasey focuses on wellbeing, balance, and helping individuals build confidence, independence, and meaningful everyday routines that support the life they want to live.
“I love that occupational therapy allows us to make small but significant changes — often in ways other supports haven’t considered.”
What Kasey loves most about being an OT is the opportunity to find practical and creative solutions that genuinely fit the individual. Whether supporting personal care, employment goals, home modifications, or community access, she values tailoring interventions to each person’s strengths, preferences, and goals.
Alongside her work as an OT, Kasey is also a qualified yoga instructor, bringing a strong appreciation for the mind–body connection, flexibility, and balance into her clinical practice. This allows her to adapt interventions in ways that may be simple or creative — always guided by what best supports the client.
Since joining Forbes Care, Kasey has learned that meaningful growth as a clinician comes from reflection, curiosity, and learning from those around you. She values the organisation’s strong education structure and the accessibility of support from senior clinicians, peers, and administrative staff.
“Forbes Care fosters a collaborative learning environment where support is always within reach.”
One of Kasey’s most memorable moments as an OT involved supporting a client who initially felt unable to leave the house independently or engage with new people.
Through graded exposure therapy, Kasey supported the client to hire a support worker and begin going for walks in the community. Watching her confidence grow and seeing her reconnect with everyday life reinforced the meaningful impact occupational therapy can have beyond the clinic — in real, lived experiences.
