Hannah’s journey to Occupational Therapy was shaped by a deep love for working with children and a passion for building confidence through meaningful connection. With a background in outdoor education and health and physical education teaching, she was drawn to OT for its unique focus on 1:1 therapeutic relationships.

“I’ve always loved supporting children to build their confidence and celebrate their strengths,” Hannah says. “What I value most is walking alongside clients as they achieve what matters most to them, creating a life filled with joy, purpose, and meaning.”

Today, Hannah brings that same joy and purpose to her work as a Senior OT with Forbes Care, supporting clients across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.

Therapy Rooted in Strengths and Connection

Hannah’s clinical interests are broad, with a particular focus on paediatric practice and neurodiversity-affirming therapy. She also enjoys adult equipment prescription, offering practical support across life stages.

In sessions, Hannah is known for her energetic and creative approach. Her toolkit is filled with fun and functional strategies—from wheel spinners and dice to visual schedules and timers. These tools help make therapy engaging, while also supporting regulation, structure, and predictability for clients.

“I take a relaxed, positive approach that’s flexible and responsive to the client’s needs in the moment,” she explains. “It’s not about pushing an agenda—it’s about listening, noticing, and adapting so the client feels safe and understood.”

Fostering Confidence, Independence, and Joy

Hannah’s supervisors describe her as positive, creative, and deeply caring—someone who naturally uplifts her clients and teammates alike. With a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and neurodiversity, she approaches each session with warmth, knowledge, and intention.

One recent win stands out. During supervision, Hannah shared a story about a teenage client who had been working with her in ongoing therapy. The client reported feeling more confident and generally happier—clear evidence of the safe, empowering space Hannah had created.

“It’s a beautiful reflection of the energy and heart she brings to her work,” her supervisor shared.
