Joining Forbes Care is Occupational Therapist Aidan, who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents and young adults to develop the confidence, skills and independence needed to navigate everyday life.
Aidan was drawn to Occupational Therapy because of the opportunity to work alongside people as they pursue goals that are meaningful to them. For him, one of the most rewarding parts of the profession is seeing participants make progress towards the goals they have set for themselves, whether those achievements are large milestones or small everyday successes.
Aidan has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults. He enjoys supporting people through important life transitions, helping them build confidence, develop practical skills and increase their independence in ways that are meaningful to them and their families.
His practice is guided by a neuro-affirming and person-centred approach, recognising and building on each individual's strengths, interests and goals. Aidan values working collaboratively with participants, families and support networks to develop strategies that are practical, achievable and tailored to the individual's needs.
Aidan also enjoys taking therapy beyond the clinic where appropriate, using real-world environments to help participants practise everyday skills and build confidence in the settings that matter most to them.
At the heart of Aidan's practice is connection. By taking the time to genuinely listen and understand each person's unique story, he aims to create a supportive environment where participants and families feel comfortable, respected and involved throughout their therapy journey.
We're delighted to welcome Aidan to the Forbes Care team and look forward to supporting our community together.
