Living with memory changes can feel overwhelming — not just for the individual, but for families and carers too. At Forbes Care, our Dementia and Memory Support Occupational Therapy Program focuses on helping older adults remain safe, confident, and engaged in their everyday lives for as long as possible.
How Occupational Therapy can help
Our Occupational Therapists work alongside individuals with mild to moderate cognitive impairment to understand what matters most to them — their routines, interests, and daily challenges. From there, we provide practical, tailored support that fits naturally into their home and community.
A structured, supportive program
The program is typically delivered over 4–6 weeks, beginning with a comprehensive in-home assessment. Each session builds on the last, with hands-on trials of equipment, education for both the participant and their support network, and practical strategies that are easy to maintain.
Our aim is simple: to help people live well at home, with dignity, confidence, and as much independence as possible — while supporting families with clear guidance and reassurance.
Get ready to be inspired, informed, and involved in the future of Occupational Therapy! We look forward to welcoming you to the Next Gen OT Summit.
