Meet Jess Wilson, our dedicated Clinical Lead who has been a shining example of growth and dedication within the Forbes Care team. Growing from an Occupational Therapist to a Clinical Lead, Jess has truly embraced our values and is passionate about making a significant impact in people's lives.

After graduating from USC in 2018, Jess began her journey as an Occupational Therapist, focusing on complex physical conditions, complex home modifications, and assisting with wheelchairs and pressure care equipment. Her unstoppable desire to help clients and learn from them led to her progress from Occupational Therapist to Senior Occupational Therapist and Supervisor, then to Clinical Training and Development Coordinator, and finally to her current role as Clinical Lead at Forbes Care.

Jess loves building relationships with clients to learn about their conditions, the impact on their daily lives, and how she can best help them achieve their goals. The opportunity to make a difference in people's lives, big or small, is what makes her feel rewarded on a daily basis.

At Forbes Care, Jess has been able to develop her skills as an OT, leader, and manager with a continued focus on training and development. She has deepened her expertise in various clinical areas by attending both internal and external professional development courses. Additionally, through the support and guidance of experienced leaders and managers within the team, Jess gained knowledge in leadership and management practices to effectively support the team.

Choosing just one memorable moment is difficult for Jess, but one that particularly stands out is when she helped a client who had a stroke. The client had not been able to shower or use the bathroom for four years due to accessibility issues. Jess played an integral role in obtaining approval for a complex home modification, worth over $100,000, to enable her client to access a fully accessible bathroom within their home.
