For Bria, Occupational Therapy was the perfect choice—a career that combined variety, learning, and the ability to make a lasting impact. Drawn to the wide range of practice settings and specialties that OT offers, she found a profession where no two days are ever the same—and that’s exactly what keeps her inspired.
“I love that I can always continue to learn and expand my knowledge,” she shares. “Every day brings new challenges, and it keeps me growing both personally and professionally.”
Today, Bria brings that same energy to her work as a Senior Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead at Forbes Care, where she plays a vital role in guiding and empowering our team to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
Bria’s clinical strengths reflect her deep knowledge and diverse interests. With a focus on progressive conditions, neurological conditions, psychosocial disability, and working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, she brings both technical excellence and cultural sensitivity to her practice.
Her expertise particularly shines in assistive technology prescription, complex housing and support assessments (SIL and SDA), and ongoing therapy interventions. For Bria, it’s about creating practical, meaningful solutions—and now she’s passing that expertise onto our growing team.
One of Bria’s favourite tools in therapy, and now in coaching clinicians, is the development of visual schedules—a deceptively simple but highly effective strategy.
“Visual schedules help piece together an individual’s week,” she explains. “They create structure around preferred activities and responsibilities, allowing clients to balance the things they want to do with the things they need to do.”
By embedding strategies like these into our training and resources, Bria is helping ensure that our team has strong, practical tools at their fingertips.
Bria’s success lies not just in what she knows—but how she shares it. She models a client-led approach in everything she does, encouraging her supervisees and colleagues to lead with empathy and collaboration.
“When the work is meaningful to the client, the motivation and the outcomes naturally follow,” she says.
It’s this mindset that underpins her leadership style: patient, attuned, and deeply respectful of each individual’s journey.
At Forbes Care, Bria has found a workplace that matches her passion for collaboration and learning.
“I enjoy working in a large team of therapists who all bring their own unique perspectives, experiences, and knowledge to support one another,” she says. “It’s a supportive environment that fosters growth and innovation.”
Her leadership team agrees, highlighting her emotional intelligence, diligence, and strategic problem-solving as standout qualities.
“Bria quickly works out what a situation needs and leads the team towards success with the right guidance and support,” her supervisor shares. “She brings knowledge and practical solutions, which helps our entire team thrive.”
Bria’s leadership impact is felt in countless ways. One standout moment involved a client with a complex medical and psychosocial history. After Bria’s coaching and report development, the client was approved for the supports they needed—a life-changing outcome.
“Bria’s work was instrumental in securing SDA approval,” her supervisor notes. “Her thoroughness, care, and advocacy made a real difference not only for that client but for the clinicians she supported through the process.”
And it’s not just clients who notice. Recently, a Support Coordinator shared, “My preference is always to refer to Forbes because I know the OT will be of the highest standard—and Bria is an amazing OT!”
Whether it’s through developing templates that make life easier for her colleagues, coaching supervisees, or creating resources that strengthen clinical practice, Bria brings compassion, excellence, and leadership to every interaction.
At Forbes Care, we are incredibly proud to have Bria supporting and leading our team—helping clinicians and clients alike to grow, thrive, and achieve what matters most.
