Bella knew early on that she wanted a career that would make a real difference in people’s lives — and Occupational Therapy offered exactly that. Guided by a passion for helping others engage in the activities they love, she found her calling in a career built on connection, growth, and empowerment.
“What I love most about my work is building meaningful connections with my clients and having the privilege of witnessing their growth and progress over time,” Bella shares.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of their journey and to grow alongside them.”
Today, Bella brings that passion to Forbes Care, where she supports individuals and families across the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.
Bella’s clinical strengths lie in the areas of physical and neurological conditions, with a special focus on assistive technology (AT) and home modifications. Whether it’s finding the right mobility support, designing safer living environments, or helping someone regain their independence after injury or illness, Bella’s solutions are always practical, client-centred, and designed with real life in mind.
She explains,
“I enjoy finding practical, client-centred solutions — whether it’s rehabilitation ideas, assistive technology, or creating more accessible spaces. It’s about helping people live more independently and with more dignity.”
For Bella, building relationships with clients begins with something simple, yet often overlooked: truly listening.
“In the NDIS space, where people often feel unheard, taking the time to listen carefully makes a huge difference. I want my clients to feel safe, respected, and understood — that’s the foundation for achieving meaningful goals together.”
One of Bella’s favourite strategies is inviting clients to give her a tour of their home or a specific room.
“It’s a beautiful way to hear their stories, connect naturally, and gather important clinical observations — all while building trust.”
Bella’s calm nature and thoughtful work ethic are evident to both her clients and her team. Known for her strong knowledge of complex equipment prescription, she has achieved excellent outcomes and funding approvals for her clients.
Her supervisor reflects,
“Bella brings a great work ethic and calm presence to the team and her clients. She works incredibly hard to achieve outcomes and is committed to delivering exceptional care.”
A recent example of Bella’s dedication shines through when she arranged urgent handovers for complex clients before taking planned leave — ensuring no one was left waiting for vital equipment or support.
“She prioritised their needs even when she could have been focused on her own schedule. It’s a testament to the genuine care she brings to her role.”
When asked what she enjoys most about working at Forbes Care, Bella doesn’t hesitate:
“It’s the people! The team dynamic is so supportive and uplifting — it genuinely makes coming to work enjoyable. You feel recognised, valued, and backed by such a collaborative team.”
Whether she's helping someone regain independence with new equipment, uplifting her colleagues with her quiet strength, or creating spaces where clients feel heard and empowered, Bella’s impact is profound and lasting.
At Forbes Care, we’re proud to have Bella on our team — supporting independence, dignity, and hope, one thoughtful connection at a time.
